Stephen Vaughan brings together the careful observation of an ornithologist with the eye of a photographer. Over fifty years, his photographs have found homes in Audubon, National Geographic, National Wildlife, and Sierra Club. Working primarily in Arizona’s diverse ecosystems, he documents the interplay between wildlife and habitat. Through teaching and mentoring, he encourages photographers to develop deeper connections with their local environments.
